Supportive Housing Program SHP helps develop housing and related supportive services for people moving from homelessness to independent living. Program funds help homeless people live in a stable place, increase their skills or income, and gain more control over the decisions that affect their lives.

Shelter Plus Care The S + C program provides rental assistance that, when combined with social services, provides supportive housing for homeless people with disabilities and their families. The program allows for a variety of housing choices such as group homes or individual units, coupled with a range of supportive services (funded by other sources).

SRO Rental Program The SRO Program provides rental assistance for homeless persons in connection with the moderate rehabilitation of SRO dwellings. SRO housing contains units for occupancy by one person. These units may contain food preparation or sanitary facilities, or both.

To apply for SHP CoC funding an agency must have a 501c3 designation from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and must participate in the CoC process including attending meetings and assisting with Committees.
Person’s seeking assistance through any of these programs should contact:
West Tennessee Homeless Hotline 1-866-307-5469
